IGF-1 LR3 (Long R3 Insulin-like Growth Factor-1) is a modified form of IGF-1 with an arginine at position 3 and a 13 amino acid N-terminal extension. This modification gives it a prolonged half-life (~20-30h) and reduced affinity for IGFBP, studied for its effects on cell growth and repair.
